Duel Function Mailboxes Appear in Guangzhou

A brand-new "duel functioning" mailbox was put into service in Guangzhou on 28th October, 2007.

The mailboxes work as both normal mail collectors and EMS collectors, so citizens can use the EMS services of China Post at any time rather than mailing during work time only as previously.

The dual-functioning mailboxes will be located in Guangzhou's urban districts of Liwan, Yuexiu, Haizhu, Tianhe, Huangpu and Baiyun initially, and spread to other districts and areas in Guangzhou.

Quicker EMS within Guangzhou

At the same time, a new "EMS service in the same city" has opened. With this service, mail posted in the morning can be delivered and received in the afternoon, as long as the destination is in Guangzhou.

The fee for the new service is 6 yuan per item during the promotional period starting from now and ending on 31 December, 2007. It will be adjusted to 8 yuan afterwards.
