Liang Zongdai is the poet, critic and translator who is very important and influential in the History of Modern Chinese Literature. He was born in 1903 and was regarded as the "the monument of the Chinese translation history". He had been studying in Europe for 7 years. In France, Roman Loran appreciated his translation of the ancient Chinese poet Tao Yuanming's poetry very much, and called the translation as "masterpiece". Due to historical reasons, Liang's works were not widely publicized. Now Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is planning to collect all his works and comments to build the database of "Liang Zongdai's works and research" in order to publicize this celebrity's life and achievements.
