7-A-Side Football League to Start Soon

The Football 7-A-Side League of 2007 featuring the Times Real Estate Cup and hosted by the Football Association of Guangzhou City, was formally launched on October 13th and the competition will last through to January 1, 2008.

The Football 7-A-Side League sponsors the highest number of annual football matches among the elite of the city's amateur football clubs. The participatants of this year include 12 teams in Group A, 16 teams in Group B, 135 teams in Group C and 2,282 participants in total. The competition venues will be arranged separately in accordance with the different groups in the Yanzi Gang Stadium and Tianhe Sports Stadium. The finals will be staged in Yuexiushan Stadium. The champion of Group A will participate in the Mini Football Game of 2008 Guangzhou-Macao Cup on behalf of Guangzhou City.
