10% of all the collected rubbish in Guangzhou everyday is transferred through treatment into power of 400,000 kw/h for public use, at the Li Keng Refuse Burning and Power Plant in Taihe, Guangzhou.
The fumes from the process have been found to be safe for human beings, thanks to the advanced technology, according to Guangzhou Government.

Li Keng Refuse Burning and Power Plant in Taihe, Guangzhou.
The plant has been operating for almost two years for processing the refuse from public life.
It produces about 200 tons of slag that has stable chemical qualities and can be used for road paving and construction materials. The iron and steel in the cinder can be recycled into steel for reproduction.
No dust or smoke is found at the plant, as a result of the leading-edge burning equipment and purifying system. The index of discharge pollutants reaches European standards.
The second phase of the plant is under construction.
The plant design is subject to land-saving for resource efficiency.
About the plant: Total garbage processed: 660, 790 tons Total power generated into grid: 147 million kw/h Present daily processing volume: 1,100 tons Daily power generated: 400,000 kw/h Daily power generated into grid: 310,000 kw/h Average power generated per ton of garbage: 282 kw/h
