Guangzhou-Delhi Direct Flights to Open in October

Southern Airlines will open the Guangzhou- Delhi, India direct flight route on October 11, 2007. All large travel agencies in Guangdong Province will take this opportunity to launch travel programs via this new route to Delhi.

The opening of the direct flight from Guangzhou to Delhi is welcomed by travel agencies in Guangdong Province. Before the opening of the new route, Guangzhou citizens had to depart from Hong Kong Airport and change in Malaysia, Thailand, Doha and other points to arrive in India.

With the opening of direct flights, travelers save several hours of travel time going from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, and around RMB 1,000 in travel charges.

Travel industry insiders estimate that the new direct flight from Guangzhou to Delhi, combined with the attractiveness of visiting the Taj Mahal, now designated as one of the new seven wonders of the world, will create an upsurge in Indian sightseeing tours.
