Guifeng Mountain Ancient Relics Forest Park To Start Construction This Year

The General Layout of Guifeng Mountain Ancients Relics Forest Park has recently passed the examination and evaluation of the expert group. The whole park is scheduled to be completed from 2007 to 2015.

The total investment on the project amounts to RMB 65 million. The Park is divided into 5 functional sections, the Guifeng Mountain Climbing and Exploration Section, the Ancient Relics Exhibition Section, the Fruit Plants Watching Section, the Reception and Management Section, and the Eco-agricultural Tourism Section.

The construction and layout of the Park mainly aims to renew and restore the forest landscape and forest ecological environment of Guifeng Mountain, protect its landscape resources, species resources and natural mountain outlooks, restore the the upstream of the Liuxi River's aquatic ecology, protect the ancient relics groups of the late New Stone Age and dig its historical and cultural legacy values, and make it an important popular science education base in Guangzhou via the construction of the ancient relics site exhibition section and ancient relics museum.
