Experience Duanwu Festival with a Multinational Dragon Boat Team

A traditional Dragon Boat Festival (Duan Wu Festival) could not go without a dragon boat race and zongzi (a pyramid-shaped dumpling made of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves).

This Saturday will be the big day for the 2007 Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament. A promotional activity was launched on Monday by a group of students from Guangzhou-based Sun Yat-sen University to cheer their Lingnan Gatorade multinational dragon boat team, which will join the tournament on June 23rd. 

The activity was organized by the Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University and supported by Gatorade of PepsiCo. Many students made financial donations to support their team and signed up for the cheering squad.

The multinational team comprises students from China, America, Canada, France and Thailand. They are going to participate in the annual dragon boat event which will commence on the Pearl River this Saturday.
