Foreigners Join Volunteers Cleaning Streets in Guangzhou

More than 30 foreign students and 200 volunteers from all walks of life  in Guangzhou took part in the campaign of "All to Clean Our City" yesterday morning (June 17) at Sushe Community, Haizhu District, Information Times reports.

The campaign is co-organized by Guangzhou Federation of Youth and some other governmental departments.

A Russian participant said, "I have been in Guangzhou for five year and becomes a part of this city. It is my duty to do the cleaning."

Most of the foreign participants are the students from Chinese Language and Culture School of Jinan University.

20% are from Europe, and 80% from Southeastern Asia. There are Russians, Turks, Indonesian, Thais and Cambodians.
