Life of Guangzhou - 2007 Guangzhou Friendship Tennis Competition Concluded Successfully

2007 Guangzhou Tennis Friendship Competition, co hosted by Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government, Administration of Sports of Guangzhou Municipal Government and External Relations Department of Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, was successfully concluded on Apr.29th, at Tennis School in Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Centre. The vision of the competition is "Harmonious Guangzhou Welcomes Asian Games, Expressing Friendship through Sports". It aims at enriching cultural and sport life of foreigners who live, work and study in Guangzhou, enhancing the friendship between Chinese and foreigners, and promoting the Guangzhou Asian Games.

58 players participated the competition, including officials of municipality's public sector institutions and foreigners working, living or studying in Guangzhou. After two days' exciting competition, four champions were crowned in Men's Single, Men's Double, Women's Single, and Women's Double. GAGOC's players have got good results. Mr.Liu Jiangnan, Deputy Secretary General, ranked the 5th in men's double; Ms. Lu Taoxiang, Deputy Director, the 3rd in women's double; Mr.Liu Shangsi, Deputy-director, the 4th in men's single.
