Six waterbuses will be put into use.

One yuan is charged for one stop and two yuan for more.
Starting from tomorrow (Apr. 10), a waterbus service is launched again in Guangzhou. The route will be: Sun Yat-Sen University - Tianzi Dock – West Bank - Fangcun. Every 20 minutes two waterbuses will simultaneously start out from two directions at peak times; and every 30 minutes at regular times.
There were many waterbus routes during 1970s and 1980s. Due to the development of land commutation and the high costs of the waterbus, the service stopped during the end of the last century.
Six Waterbuses Put into Use
Six waterbuses will be put into use, according to the General Manager of the Guangzhou Ferry Company, Mr. Yu Haoran.
In the past, ferries only carried passengers across the river; now waterbuses will also carry passengers to docks along the same side of the river.
The first waterbus sets off at 7am; and the last one at 6pm.
Yang Cheng Tong Applicable
The same as land busses, Yang Cheng Tong is also applicable to waterbuses. One yuan is charged for one stop; and two yuan for more.
Passengers should remember to keep tickets as staff will examine tickets as you get on the craft.
