Prohibition Hits Electric Bikes From Today

According to regulations from "Law of the People's Republic of China on Road and Traffic Safety" and "Guangdong Road Traffic Safety Ordinance", as of today, electric bikes and other non-motor vehicles with installed power settings (excluding those of the handicapped) in Guangzhou (including Conghua city and Zengcheng city) are prohibited to register and drive on the roads.

Interim is from Nov. 15 to Nov. 30. During this 15-day transitional time, owners of electric bikes who break the law will not be punished by the Bureau of Public Security.
