Consulate General of Switzerland Opens in Guangzhou

October 29 - The opening ceremony of the Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou was held at Guangzhou Luhu Golf & Country Club, where Micheline Calmy-Rey, Swiss Confederation Vice-President and Foreign Minister, and Swiss Ambassador to China Dante Martinelli made speeches.

Vice Mayor Chen Deming, accompanied by Yu Wei, Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office, attended the event.

The Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou was located on the 27th  floor, Grand Tower, 228 Tianhe Road. The Consul General is Mr. Werner Eugen Nievergelt.

At present, 24 countries have set up their Consulate Generals in Guangzhou.
