Comics & Animation Toys Library Established in Huangpu

On October 23, the Comics & Animation Toys Library, newly established by Guangzhou Library, officially opened to readers, in Huangpu District. This is the first national Comics & Animation Toys themed library with the collection of almost all the toy books published in the world. Citizens can apply for their reader's card by right of their ID cards and one color photo of 1 Cun, which will enable the reader to access the books for free.

 

 
This special library occupies an area of more than 400 square meters. Guangzhou Library will put into it 15,000 volumes of comics & animation books and over 16,000 E-books in Phase I, the majority of which are the professional books on the creation and research of comics & animation worldwide. According to the principal, the collection of books on toys is the most complete, with thousands of volumes. There are also more than 40 kinds of magazines on toy gifts from both home and abroad. "We have almost all (the books and magazines) you can find in the world".

The Comics & Animation Toys Library is categorized into four sections, including Comics & Animation Toys, Multimedia Reading, Collections and Reading. It will provide the public with services of book lending and reading, information consultation, photocopying, printing, scanning, CD burning and free internet surfing.

The relevant department has advised that it will set up shuttle bus stations in major business circles in the urban area to assist the public to get to the Comics & Animation Toys Library.
