Consul-Generals in Guangzhou Visited Nansha

Nearly 30 Consul-Generals of 15 countries in Guangzhou came to Nansha industrial base on September 20th.

Consul-Generals of German, French, the United States, Japan and Korea visited Nansha Port Area, Toyota Automobile Industrial Area, and West Information Technology Zone. 

At a forum following, Chen Jie, Deputy Director of Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangzhou Municipality, called on more multinational corporations to build their headquarters, operation centers, and research & development centers in Guangzhou.

The environment of Nansha impressed the guests. Ulf Sormark, Consul-General of the Kingdom of Sweden in Guangzhou, told the reporter in Chinese: "Nansha is very beautiful." 

Knowing a yacht club to be built in Nansha, Friedrich-Carl Bruns, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Guangzhou, expressed the hope that the club would be completed before the end of his tenure, so that he can moor his yacht in the beautiful Nansha port.  A Nansha official said that the yacht club, with more than 200 berths, was planed to be accomplished by 2008.

Friedrich-Carl Bruns told the reporter that this was a good place for Guangzhou citizens to spend their spare time.
