Railway Summer High Season Arrives

According to the railway department, the Guangzhou train station saw an average daily passenger flow of 77,000 on July 2 and 3, indicating the first peak of the railway summer high season. The daily passenger flow of 77,000 is 17,000 more than that of late June, up 30 percent. It is expected that the second and third passenger peak will occur in mid July and late August. In response to the high passenger volume, the Guangzhou train station has added temporary trains. By July 4, the station had run six temporary trains.

In addition, the Guangzhou train station has opened extra ticket selling counters to shorten the waiting time to get a ticket.
