The change of district boundaries in Guangzhou last year brought convenience and the opportunity to improve the public security management of the station area. The municipal and provincial governments are focused on, and continue to improve security and administration in this area.

The new Yuexiu District government initiated ten approaches to crack down on crime at the Station area just after the district boundary change.

Mr. Zhou said a budget of 30 million yuan would be used to develop the infrastructure of the Kuangquan Community later this year. First, to light up the streets and alleys. Second, to improve the road system, and finally to strengthen the local administration of renting houses in the area by introducing a property management system.
