U.S. Consul General Brian L. Goldbeck (Middle) attended a bakery seminar in Shenzhen.
On March 9 U.S. Consul General Brian L. Goldbeck opened a bakery seminar in Shenzhen hosted by newly-arrived U.S. Consulate Guangzhou Agricultural Trade Officer Jorge Sanchez. Attended by over 60 bakers and traders, Consul General Goldbeck noted increased interest in high quality U.S. ingredients and products such as almonds, raisins, prunes, potatoes, flour and wheat.
Consul General Goldbeck also attended the China International Jewelry Fair on March 10 and met with U.S. exhibitors. While in Shenzhen, he visited St. Anthony's Catholic Church and discussed religious issues with Father Francis Xavier Zhang. Consul General Goldbeck also met with businessmen regarding trade and investment opportunities as well as Shenzhen's economic development trends.
