Mag 3 Earthquake Hits Yangjiang City, Guangdong

At 6:37am on September 7th a magnitude 3 earthquake struck Yangjiang city in Yangxi County (21.8 N, 111.8E) of Guangdong. No injuries or major damage resulted from the earthquake.

The locals said they felt only slight shocks. However, it was the most powerful earthquake to occur in the city out of the five small earthquakes that took place from September 1st to the 7th.

From April to November of 2007, nearly 30 earthquakes shook the city. Fortunately, they were only minor tremors.
