Life of Guangzhou - Guangdong Donations to Quake-Hit Areas Reaches 1,212 billion RMB

Donations from Guangdong Province to China's quake-hit areas totaled 1,212 billion yuan (173 million U.S. dollars) as of 4 p.m. on May 18, according to the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Of that figure, 913.9 million yuan was received by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, while 216.1 million yuan was received by the Red Cross Society of Guangdong.
