Provincial Panel Grouped to Tackle Hand-foot-mouth Disease

Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Health set up yesterday a special panel to guide the campaign against the epidemic hand-foot-mouth disease in the South China province.

The group is made up of the medial experts from the provincial disease control center, Guangzhou Children's Hospital, Guangzhou Hospital of Epidemics, and Guangdong Maternity and Children's Health Hospital.

The hand-foot-mouth disease was just confirmed to claim the life of a one-year-and-a-half child in Gaoming District of Foshan, Guangdong by the provincial disease control center, in addition to a previous children death also in Gaoming.

Experts advice of enough hand-washing, ventilation and utensil sterilization against the disease.
