A Dinosaur Park and Museum will be built in Heyuan, northeastern part of Guangdong Province this year, according to Guangzhou Daily. The museum is planed to be put into use by the end of 2008. More than 13,800 fossil dinosaur eggs will be shown to public in this museum.

The 16-metre high ‘Heyuan Dinosaur Park and Museum’ will cover 70 thousand square meters with 3 thousand square meters floor space. About 50 million is invested by Heyuan Government in this project.

The shape of Heyuan Dinosaur Park and Museum will be Ammonite-like architecture. Ammonites are an extinct group of marine animals. Heyuan County of Guangdong Province in southern China is reputed as "the Treasury of Ancient Extinct Life in Southland". Since 1996, substantive fossils of ancient extinct life have been discovered here in succession, which aroused great impact among geological and paleontological circles over the whole country.
