Today, as reported, a Cantonese tour group of 60 members are going to get on the first train from Lanzhou to Lhasa in history as the Qinghai-Tibet Railway opens to traffic. 70% of the tourists are mid-aged and elderly people (aged 40-60). They will reach the destination on July 3, as planned.

The Cantonese tourists respectively went to Lanzhou, Gansu Province and Xinning, Guangzhou on June 30 for taking the historic train because trains from Guangzhou to Lhasa are now not available until this August as early as possible, sources say.
