North Entrance of Zhujiang Crossing-River Tunnel Reconstructed

North entrance of Zhujiang tunnel will be reconstructed to ease the heavy traffic by 2006, according to the authorities.

Zhujiang tunnel, which links Huangsha Avenue and Fangcun District, is a bottleneck in Southwestern Guangzhou. The locations like bus stations, Yiyuan Elaborate Works Market, Huangsha Aquatic Product Market and Qingpin Chinese Traditional Medicine Market are gathering here, and turn the place to be a distributing center of logistic transportation.

To solve the problem, Ruyifang Project and Duobaolu Project is planed to start reconstruction this year. And Huaguilu-Congguilu Project will be start next year. Two sets of closed-circuit televisions is put into use by the end of June for the control of traffic flow.
