Macau Franchise Expo – Promoting New Opportunities

The first Macao Franchise Expo (MFE) will be held from July 3 to 4 at the Macao Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre. MFE aims to promote franchising, chain store operations and brand agency through a series of activities that include product exhibition, business matching sessions and forums.
MFE has recorded a total of 78 exhibitors, with over 90 franchises, chain store and brand agency enterprises from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Brazil, United States, Japan and other Southeast Asian countries.
Investment projects include renowned international products, food and beverage, hotels, fashion, accessories, electrical appliances and illumination. The Macao Economic Services, Macao Association of Banks and the business association of real estate were invited to provide support and advisory services including SME financing, interest subsidy, shop leasing and marketing. The organiser will also brief participants on business development of the franchising business
According to a statement issued by Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) the MFE will provide an excellent opportunity and create unlimited perspectives for youth in establishing new businesses and encourage Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME’s) to expand their current businesses.
Admission is free, all companies and the general public of Macao are welcome to attend. Business matching registration is currently underway. Organisers believe Macao Franchise Expo will provide a platform for commercial and industrial sectors by promoting franchising, chain store and brand agency’s to SME’s and offer an ideal opportunity for people to establish their own businesses. MFE also aims to assist SME’s to cope in the economic downturn.
On Friday a seminar on Branding and Franchising - New Trends and Development will be held where franchisers and brand name enterprises from Macau, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan will introduce and discuss with participants the latest trends in business models. The speakers will discuss and exchange views with participants through two seminars; Trends in Franchising and the Development of Brand Name Enterprises and Sharing the Experience on Financing Strategy for Development of Franchising.
At the same time the Organiser will hold 10 product and service seminars during the two day event, to assist participants to promote and advertise their own products and services, in an effort to find suitable partners.
MFE is held with the support of the China Chain Store and Franchise Association and International Franchise Association, co-organised by Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), Brazilian Franchise Association, Association of Chain and Franchise Promotion, Taiwan and the Licensing and Franchising Association of Hong Kong.
