The 14th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) will be held at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, from Oct. 22 to 25, the organizer said Friday.
The fair will provide a platform for local and international enterprises to expand market networks and open up new horizons for business development, said the Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).
The fair is Macao's largest annual trade and economic event, and there will be around 1,000 booths established in the exhibition covering about 26,000 square meters, according to the IPIM.
Under the theme of "Diversity -- Key To Extending A Decade of Prosperity", this year's MIF aims to give fuller play of Macao's advantages as a trade and economic service platform and help enterprises from Macao, the Chinese mainland and overseas, particularly SMEs (small and medium enterprises), to find new business opportunities, the IPIM said in a press statement.
Meanwhile, various international and regional exhibition pavilions and themed pavilions, with the aim of promoting cooperation among industries, will be set up at this year's MIF, which will be larger in scale than before. Senior management from different countries and regions will be invited to participate in high level, professional conferences during the exhibition period.
Regarding business matching, the IPIM said, by strengthening their work with an online project-matching platform, pre-event "matching among delegations", etc., the MIF will strive to help materialize more business deals and project cooperations.
