Ferry Collision in Macao: One Dead

A jet ferry yesterday collided with a fishing boat off the Macao coast. One person died and two were injured.

At around 11:45 am the ferry, sailing from Hong Kong to Macao, hit the fishing boat 75 nautical miles off the coast of Macao, a press official of the Special Administration Region's maritime administration, told Xinhua.

The official said three people on board the fishing boat, registered in the Chinese mainland, fell into the sea. One died and two were rescued.
