Tourists Locked out of Macao's A-Ma Temple

Updated Beijing Time

Source: China Daily

The A-Ma Temple in Macao, a world heritage site, was closed on Monday as the abbot and the temple's management committee argued over its ownership.

About 10 men, wearing black clothes, suddenly appeared in the temple on Monday and asked visitors to leave, then closed the gate and put up notices declaring no one was allowed entry without consent of the management committee.

Police are investigating the matter.
