Yellow Alert: Hazy Weather Raises Concern

With only one year to go before the Asian Games which shall take place in Guangzhou at the same time next year, deep concern has arisen from the haze in which Guangzhou and other PRD cities currently find themselves. Yesterday (Nov. 26) according to official data, visibility in Guangzhou was reduced to 3 kilometers, in Panyu to 900 meters and in Fengkai to merely 300 meters.

With the arrival in Guangdong of a minor cold front tomorrow, the meteorological bureau predicts that the haze should disappear within the next few days.
