Canton Embroidery master Chen Shaofang

The 13.8-metre long Canton Embroidery 'Beautiful South China', also the longest Canton Embroidery in history, went to auction with initial bidding set at 20 million yuan. The artwork took Canton Embroidery Master Chen Shaofang and her family ten years to finish. Though there were no bidders at the initial price, the embroidery is still highly praised as 'Century Master Piece of Canton Embroidery' by renowned Lingnan painter Guan Shanyue.
