First Int'l Computer and Telecom Festival

The First International Computer and Telecommunication Festival in Guangzhou will take its famous Hongkong counterpart as a model, to present its vision of the future. 

You too could be part of the event, taking place in Beijing Road Mall in the heart of Guangzhou, from December 29 to January 2 next year. A midnight party in the mall on New Year's Eve co-incides with the event.  
  
Unlike traditional indoor fairs, the event will borrow ideas from Hong Kong's "Computer Festival" which is held outdoors in Sham Shui Po Street. The street-festival concept was highly praised by Hong Kong's Chief Executive. Guangzhou's version is expected to attract more than 300,000 people.
  
Activities include performances, a party, concert, forum and photography contest. Numerous brand-name IT and digital products from Hong Kong will be sold at discounts of up to 50%.
