Within-city Tel. Bill Inquiry Service to Be Available in Guangzhou September

Guangdong Telecom Co., Ltd. declared yesterday that it will offer new services from August 18 on to tackle the problems of no access to within-city telephone bill inquiries, Internet-connection-functional ADSL bandwidth e-account embezzlements, etc.

The within-city telephone bill inquiry service is to be available in Guangdong's Huizhou, Zhongshan, Zhuhai and Jiangmen from tomorrow on ,and in Guangzhou next month. The service will be offered in the other parts of the province within this year.

In recent years Guangdong Telecom has made great investment to update its equipment and build a new service network.

In the first quarter of 2006, the e-accounts of a lot of ADSL users nationwide were embezzled. Guangdong Telecom has paid key attention to it and is investigating the cases to fight back ADSL thieves.
