Free Wi-Fi Spots in Guangzhou

By the time the Asian Games open in November 2010, Guangzhou is to set-up a vast free-access Wi-Fi network across the city. For the time being, Wi-Fi is available at Baiyun airport, in train stations, commercial buildings, hotels, fast food restaurants, libraries, etc.

Commercial centers offering Wi-Fi:

1) Gangding
Starbucks: free for customers
Cafe de Coral: free for all
Fairwood Holdings Limited: free for customers

2) Grandview Plaza
China Telecom store: free for all
Starbucks: free for customers

3) China Plaza
Starbucks: free for customers
Fenghuang Coffee Shop: free for customers

4) Beijing Road
Free Wi-Fi for China Telecom customers all along the road
Starbucks: free for customers

5) Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street
Underground restaurant area in Hengbao Square
Cafe de Coral: free for customers

Other locations:

1) Fast food restaurants:
Starbucks: 22 branches located in Tianhe, Yuexiu, Liwan, Haizhu
Lvyingge: Most branches offer two-hour free Wi-Fi for customers.
RBT: 49 branches offer Wi-Fi.
Macdonald: Most branches offer Wi-Fi.

2) Commercial buildings, modern shopping malls, hotels, Guangzhou International Exhibition Center and Guangzhou Gymnasium.

3) Airport, East Train Station.

4) China Telecom stores offer free Wi-Fi.
