Life of Guangzhou - 2009 Guangzhou International Beer Festival

The Fifth Annual Guangzhou International Beer Festival will be held in the front square of the Liuhua Complex, the previous site of the Canton Fair, from August 14 to 23. Operating hours will begin at 5pm to avoid the daily heat waves. The festivities continue throughout the evening until midnight.

This event is a city attraction sponsored by the government since 2005. The festival hosts dozens of German imported beer brands and China brands alike. Participants this year include Zhujiang, Heineken, Paulaner, HB, Krombacher Monchshof, Kingway, Anchor, and San Miguel. Beer exhibitors will offer beer and promotional souvenirs in their booth. While you you're testing your taste buds, you can also show off your basketball skills shooting some hoops, or battle a friend in a PlayStation match.

Admission: ￥8 per person, ￥10 food and beer coupon for 5 tickets, free for senior citizens and children below 1.2 meter
