"Searching for 100 Pairs of Hands" to Spread Guangzhou's Culture

If you have a pair of hands that can:

A - Make sculpture, embroider, weave, mount paintings and calligraphy with paste, make miniature plants and sew play clothes;

B - Create beautiful layouts on the dinner table, or cook delicious food;

C - Beautify the human body, such as nails, hair and skin;

D - Invent things, repair things or make old-time crafts;

E - Optimize the use of garbage;

Then you might qualify to show off your skills and artworks by signing up for the "Searching for 100 Pairs of Hands" contest organized by Guangzhou Daily.

Applicants are encouraged to upload information about themselves at the website http://news.dayoo.com/gzhands (in Chinese), or call 020-81919191 to sign up. The description should be at least 500 words detailing the applicant's skills and works.

50 candidates will be selected. The contest will be finalized by a 10-15 person panel of experts, and the winners (as well as those who have recommended them) will be awarded a tourism coupon ranging from 300 to 20 thousand Yuan pertaining to their skills.

The recruiting deadlines for the contest are as follows:

A. June 1 to 30, 2009
B. August 1 to 31, 2009
C. October 1 to 30, 2009
D. December 1 to 31, 2009
E. March 1 to 31, 2010
