Yangchengtong IC Card

Yangchengtong IC Card is a convenient electronic paying tool, only usable in Guangzhou, which can save payment records and be recharged for different amount for multiple times.

How to use?

A card holder just places his IC card close to an installed Yangchengtong paying recorder. When the recorder beeps once the payment has been completed. If the recorder bee-boos several times, it means your card is short of amount enough to pay.

Yangchengtong IC Card is not for name registration or loss report.

Where to use?

Almost all the buses, all trolleys, ferries, subway lines;

Some taxies, some buses for housing circle;

Some indoor parking lots, roadside parking meters;

Yangchengtong telephone booths, zoo, some McDonald outlets, chained groceries like 7-11, some supermarkets, automats.

Card Categories, Activating and Amount-recharging:

Normal Card: First charging at least RMB 50 plus a deposit of RMB 30 when activating a new card;
Other Cards: Purchase at selling price and not returnable or exchangeable.

The recharging amount for the above two is some multiple of RMB 50 each time with the minimum of RMB 50. The maximum remaining amount of the card is RMB 500.

30-time Card: Only for use no more than 30 times. Its recharging amount is some multiple of RMB 10 each time. The maximum remaining amount of the card is RMB 50.

Where to recharge?

Human recharging:

Yangchengtong service outlets in normal business hours;

The 7-11 grocery outlets with Yangchengtong label around the clock; Yangchengtong Service Centers (466, Renmin Bei Rd. and 37 Chelubian, Donghua Dong Rd.)

More than 700 issuing services have been established in the city.

Automatic Recharging:

Using bank cards to transfer amount at interface instructions in 24-hour service.

The recharging machines are installed at all the subway stations and terminals, some Communication Banks, Commercial Banks, Minsheng Banks, ICBC, Merchants Banks, Shenzhen Development Banks, Everbright Banks, McDonald outlets and other public places.

Card In-turn:
Only for normal cards;
10% of the remaining amount is to be charged as handling fee for the normal cards with over RMB 10 left.
The deposit of RMB 30 is returnable instantly for a card not damaged and the card is taken by the Yangchengtong centers;
The deposit is not returnable for a damaged card

Card Changing:

The remaining amount is checked and transferred into the new card;
The undamaged normal cards can be changed to a new one for free while the damaged for a deposit of RMB 30 for the new card.
