Liuhua Lake, a downtown oasis in Guangzhou.
The Liuhua Lake, double of the Liwan Lake in size, is a locals' favorite outdoor place for leisure, peaceful, beautiful, and with diversified fun facilities. The sites of interest inside are located not faraway from each other, well within reach.
It is very convenient to visit, close to the Liuhua Exhibition Center, previous venue of the Canton Fair.
There is a Frankfurt Rose Garden in baroque-style landscape in southeastern part. The place, set up in 1996, is an official gift from the Frankfurt am Maine to Guangzhou for the latter’s 2210th anniversary of city founding. Most of the 300 rose trees were imported from Germany.

You can also find a lush and tall oak tree in the western wing, planted by the Queen Elizabeth II of the UK in her visit to Guangzhou in 1986.

There are quite a few nice restaurants and lounges at lakeside, where you can sit down comfortably, have a sip of coffee, and appreciate the lake view.
