The Former Residence of the Marshal Ye Jianying is simple in style and looks like an ordinary farmhouse with simple and classical furniture. It was selected as a key provincial cultural preservation center in 1989.
Situated in the eastern part of Guangdong Province, Dapu is a small town belonging to the Meizhou County of Guangdong. In ancient times, Dapu was called Wanchuan, which literally means a town that was entirely encircled by mountains and rivers.
The museum was established in 2009 in Meizhou. Located in the north east of Guangdong, Meizhou is considered the traditional center of Hakka culture since the Hakka people moved south from Central China centuries ago.
