Although the number of Korean restaurants in Guangzhou has exploded in recent years, finding Korean products isn’t an easy task. If you think the Korean grocery stores on Yuan Jin Road (远景路) are too far for you, then the best solution if you are living in Tianhe is the “Jin Gang Yuan” Korean grocery store (金刚苑) located on the second floor of CITIC Plaza.

Wide range of products

The variety of products imported from South Korea is vast, ranging from raw meats, soft drinks to seasoning and hotpot ingredients. The store was opened by the owner of a nearby Korean restaurant, who pledged to offer the same ingredients as one finds in a restaurant.

Seasonings of choice

Seasonings are an important part of Korean cuisine. The store offers a rich variety of seasonings from sauces and vinegar to edible oil. Whether it is chili sauce, lettuce sauce, salty sauce, sushi vinegar or rice vinegar, all are available at reasonable prices. You can also find some Japanese food products; especially ice creams such as Shizuoka strawberry ice cream and Hokkaido red bean popsicles.
