It's summer time! The perfect time to go to the swimming pool! But before you head over to your closest pool, check out some really great products on sale in Guangzhou.

Prescription Goggles

Short sighted swimmers used to suffer underwater, but not anymore! Swimming goggles with prescription lenses are available in most sports shops in Guangzhou. Prices range from 80RMB to 500RMB and depend on the brand you choose, not how strong you need your lenses (available from -0.5 to -8.00).

When choosing the strength of your lenses, a good rule of thumb is to round down, rather than up (i.e. if your prescription is -2.75, choose -2.50). Personal experience shows that wearing the right pair of prescription goggles feels basically the same as wearing a pair of normal glasses.

Swimming Accessories

A variety of swimming accessories can make your underwater experience more enjoyable. Most stores provides a wide variety of swimming caps, ear plugs, nose clips, swimming towels, sandals, and even anti-fog spray for your goggles. So next time you go do a few lengths in the pool, make sure your swimming cap is tightly fitted and remember that anti-fog spray should be applied on the inner surface of the goggles, not the outer one.
