
The opening ceremony of 2007 Guangzhou International Garments Festival was held in Guangzhou at the Jinhan Exhibition Centre yesterday morning (July 5).
The four-day Garments Festival from July 5th to 8th, is sponsored by Guangzhou Economic Commission, supported by China National Garment Association, and organized by Guangzhou Clothes Trade Association, Guangzhou Economic & Trade Conference and Exhibition Service Center.
Vice-chairman of China National Textile and Apparel Council Mr. Chen Shujin,Vice Deputy of Guangzhou People's Congress and President of Guangzhou Labour and Social Security Department Mr. Chen Weiguang attended the opening ceremony.
Brands at home and abroad lure investment
Some famous brands from both at home and abroad joined the Garments Festival. Some of these brands included: Goldlion, Baleno, S & K, Anta, T100, Yueyingger, Clayderman from France, as well as some brands from Italy, such as A.Jesdani, Saint Paulon, Wielii and Remo Gianni.
Some local Guangzhou brands Giorgio Giulini, OMSER, Gu Xue Long came to the Garments Festival for the first time to lure investors.

Goldlion booth covers the largest area of Garments Festival this year.

Natural and simple is the motto of Baleno.

Richard Clayderman, a brand of a "Prince of Romance" French pianist entered the Chinese market in 2006.

T100 is a Chinese brand for parent-child attire.
Wholesale markets join the festival in groups
Guangzhou Baima Garment Market and Xin Da Di Fashion Plaza attended the festival in groups with brands they sell in their wholesale markets.

Xin Da Di Fashion Plaza is the largest woolen fabric market in China.
Events: Fashion Shows, Election and Awards
Some events will be held during the four-day Garments Festival, such as Clothing and Accessories Trade Fair, Fashion Trend Press Release, New Product Release of Trendy Brands, Clothing Forum, Best Brands Election and Awards, Ten Most Influential Figures of Guangzhou Clothing Industry Awards and Innovation Concentration Camp of Future Clothing Designers.
