Qingping Market Blocks

清平市场

Updated Beijing Time

Qingping Market Blocks (in west old town, beside Huangsha metro stop): There is a magnitude of merchandise available all across Guangzhou, but the Qingping markets are the most interesting. With their wide selection of agricultural products, pets, antiques, artifacts, Traditional Chinese Medicines and groceries, you might get lost and overwhelmed in the lively atmosphere. Nearby there is also a large wholesale seafood market, where you can buy fresh seafood and have it prepared at one of the restaurants there.

Also Qingping is one of the biggest wildlife markets in China and deals especially in wild mammals and chelonians. It was visited weekly in the colder months from November to January when the trade is at its maximum and monthly during the rest of the year.
