Long Yang Club, the first gay club in Guangzhou, is exclusively open to local gays. Incorporating KTV, Mah-jong and free condoms, the club only charges you for soft drinks (RMB 10 Yuan/cup).

Located uptown in one of the busiest sections of Guangzhou, the club is actually remodeled from an apartment with one living room and three bedrooms. The club is equipped with a tea room, a KTV room, a Mah-jong room, a foyer and a rest room, small but complete.
Boss Guan, is a handsome local guy. He said, "Usually queers don't like to go to bars, too noisy, or sauna rooms that can be dirty and insecure. Our frequenters are mainly white-collars with high salaries, those who enjoy quiet and privacy. Most of the customers are registered visitors of Long Yang Club website and the club is well-known within the local gay community".
Considering that there are very few channels for gays to find each other, the club specially set up a partner-searching wall, where the customers can post their requirements for partners as well as contact information. According to Guan, the wall has brought a few couples together.
The most eye-catching items on the bar counter are the free condoms and brochures publicizing AIDS prevention, supplied by the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The condoms are specially made for gay men, much thicker than the regular condoms sold in stores.

Business hours are from 2:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Customers really love the quiet environment here. If you meet the right person, you can have a good chat with them, without interruption due to noisy music and vociferation.
