Color Lamb Sculptures: A Color Experience

In association with the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA), the Guangdong Museum of Art held a public education activity last Sunday (Oct, 24th) attracting local art associations and students.

The name of the event, YangMeiTuQi (羊没涂漆), comes from GZ's nickname "Yang Cheng" (the City of Rams) and means "a white lamb to be filled with color" in Chinese. Aiming at encouraging creation amongst the public, the organizers invited citizens to color sculptures of lambs. Later, these sculptures will be exhibited in the museum before moving to the Guangzhou velodrome in the Higher Education Mega Center. A similar event is to be held in Macau.
