Life of Guangzhou - Art Exposition in Xiaozhou

The name "Xiaozhou" is now familiar to many people with an interest in art and those curious about the countryside surrounding Guangzhou. This small island-village has slowly been transformed over the past few years into one of the most vibrant art scenes in the city. Most noticeably, all this one done by a handful of independent artists and university teachers who fell in love with the village's small narrow streets, picturesque waterways and beautiful old building.

To celebrate to Lunar New Year, exhibitions shall be held at the Xiaozhou Art Zone beside the Yingzhou Ecology Park. Featuring paintings, sculpture, photography and installations, the exhibition gives an extra reason to visit the village over the holidays.

When: 9:30 – 16:30, January 29th to February 28th, 2010 (Closed 13th & 14th of February)
