Jean-Louis Piroux claims himself to be a surprise giver. He likes combining high technology and funny things together, which he calls "the marriage of art and technology".
Entering the Art Gallery 64, on Shamian Island, the tallest foreign man could be easily noticed among people. Ebullient and always smiling, Jean-Louis is quite enthusiastic to show his ideas and works to audiences.

A conner of the gallery
Jean-Louis Piroux is from Toulouse, France. Being the son of a furniture designer he was inspired and has designed sculptures and architecture models in France. Jean-Louis incorporates computer skills into his photos.
Piroux is a creative versatile artist who likes to express his ideas of art in his works.
Of all Jean-Louis' works his display for his first visit to China is only his abstract "paintings." "I would like to have cultural cooperation with China which is also a centuries-old country like France. Unfortunately the sculptures are too heavy to bring by air so I took photos of them."

Poster of the exhibition
Jean-Louis Piroux's exhibition was themed "Mirage," which represents reality in an abstract way. Parts of his "paintings" are placed with light-reflecting cones in the center – audiences look straight through the peak of the cones and find the stereogram.
Smile of Marilyn Monroe, Smile of La Joconde, both works that can be considered hip maybe even funny.

Fun seems to be a common link that connects the audience and artist.
