The Yuexiu district government organized this week-long show and interaction to the public of local Cantonese folk art, as scheduled below:

June 22  A flute craftman demonstrates how to make a Chinese flute and play flute;

June 23  Public voting for the 'Ten Cultural Namecards' of Guangzhou

June 24  Exhibition of Shiwan pottery and porcelain artworks from Foshan city neighboring Guangzhou; Shiwanese master demonstrates the crafting process. Shiwan is regarded as one of "China's Capitals of Pottery and Porcelain Art".

June 25  10:00–11:30 am: A musical master to introduce and play Guqin, a kind of traditional Chinese musical instrument

June 26 10:00–11:30 am:  A veteran demonstrates how to make a red copper artwork

June 27 10:00 – 11:00 am: Traditional Cantonese story teller Yan Zhitu, a local big name, tells stories in traditional way at the shrine square




Yan Zhitu entertains the public by his traditional story-telling at the Culture Park in Guangzhou.


June 28 10:00 – 11:30 am: A veteran on historical relics introduces how to distinguish and appreciate ancient relics beside the Lotus Pond in the Shrine.
