Educated as an adult at foreign art schools, the artist Tong Lu spent his formative years in Guangzhou under the tutelage of his father, a calligrapher. For this reason, his work bears the hallmarks of a deep familiarity with the art of Chinese calligraphy. A solo exhibition of his work at the Art 64# Gallery showcases twenty to thirty pieces from his Image, Jade and Ghost series.
