Since the time that the Guangdong Museum of Art planned to establish a photography studio, it has attracted five foreign photographers of whom Sylvie Denet, Laurent Gueneau and François Fontaine paid a three-week visit to Guangzhou in 2004, 2005 and 2006 respectively. This show will present pictures the three photographers took during their stay in Guangzhou. From this photo show, visitors will get an insight into what Guangzhou looks like in the eyes of these three masters.

Sylvie Denet works on his pictures with colorful paints, thus creating effects of oil paintings. In addition, by making the photos into cartoons, the photographer shows visitors a personalized Guangzhou, a city with unique characteristics.

Laurent Gueneau always focuses on the harmonious relationship between a city of concrete buildings and nature

François Fontaine will show visitors elegance even the Cantonese have not discovered. (english.gz.gov.cn)
