Ping Pong Space remains to date probably the most innovative place in Guangzhou. Located besides the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and hidden inside a huge courtyard surrounded by trees, this is the place to come for the most avant-garde performances.

An old factory where Guangzhou art lovers gather.

The space has kept many of the factory's original features. Although half the building has been entirely redesigned to suit the needs of its occupants, a large concrete space has been left for art performances, exhibitions and concerts. Whether it is video, performing arts, music, sculpture, publishing, or designing, all find their place in Ping Pong.

The space has held a series of activities such as 08 NOTCH, events related to the Guangzhou Triennial and the W/S/P/T British Equipment Art Performance. It serves as a public platform for artists from home and abroad to exchange their ideas and present their work.

Ping Pong Bar

The Ping Pong Bar situated in the center of the courtyard offers an agreeable spot to have a drink in the sun, and when night falls, there is hardly an evening that goes by without an interesting band performing on stage.
