World's Youths Sing for Olympiad and Friendship in Guangzhou

On August 1 and 2 in Guangzhou Xinghai Concert Hall, 82 young performers from 33 countries will present a special concert in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, English, French, and Mongolian. Two of them from Guangzhou are Gu, a freshman from South China Normal University and Luo, a music teacher of Guangzhou No. 16 Middle School. Luo will lead the Chinese famous folk song "Jasmine"


The World Youth Choir composing members from 17-25 years old is designated as "the ambassadors of Peace and Friendship" by the United Nations. It also represents the highest level of the youth choir.
The World Youth Choir 2008 summer session will take place in Hong-Kong from July 14th to August 11th thanks to the collaboration of the Hong Kong Treble Choir Association. It will be a great opportunity for the WYC to fully endorse the responsibility of Artist for Peace and to deliver a message of peace, understanding and freedom in that area of the world. The Cultural Exchange & Concerts will be held in Guangzhou from July 30 to August 3 and in Macau August 4-6.
